The NavigatorBraveAnnounced native integration of support networkszkSync was e ScrollThe update allows the more than 70 million active Brave users to interact directly with decentralized applications on these Layer 2 networks without the need for manual configuration.

What changes for users

With the integration, Brave Wallet users can send and receive tokens, interact with DeFi protocols and access dApps in zkSync Era and Scroll directly from the browser. Previously, it was necessary to add networks manually using RPC data, a technical process that removed less experienced users.

Brave Wallet already offered native support for Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism and Solana. The addition of zkSync and Scroll consolidates the browser’s strategy of being the main entry point for Web3, competing with extensions such as MetaMask and dedicated wallets.

Zero Knowledge Rollups in Expansion

Both zkSync Era and Scroll useProof of Zero Knowledge (ZK)to ensure the security of transactions inheriting the security of Ethereum. ZK rollups are considered by the technical community as the most promising solution of long-term scalability, offering fast transactions for fewer cents.

The total blocked value (TVL) in ZK rollups exceeded $12 billion in February 2026, with zkSync Era leading with approximately $5.8 billion.

Impact on the Brazilian market

For Brazilian users, the ease of accessing ZK rollups via Brave Wallet significantly reduces the technical barrier to entering the Web universe3.With gas fees often below R$0.10 per transaction on these networks, access to DeFi and decentralized applications becomes viable even for small investors.
